Heineken invites unemployed youth to apply now for the above-mentioned position to be based in the Material Scheduling Department at Sedibeng. The successful candidate will report to the Master Material Scheduler.

Duties :

  • Placing purchase orders of all MRP goods within your control categories.
  • Confirm orders with suppliers as per agreed process.
  • Ensure MRP Health principles are applied and scheduled on SAP.
  • Liasing with suppliers and transporters to ensure OTIF targets are met.
  • Managing scheduling of materials within supplier lead time window.
  • Managing JIT deliveries.
  • Chair monthly SPP meetings with key suppliers and site Quality Team.
  • Drive block stock management processes with suppliers.
  • Assisting with supplier claims.
  • Updating of all material recons.
  • On time and quantified escalations of material delays that could impact the delivery of the site plan.
  • Ensuring the establishment, placing, monitoring and controlling of purchase requirements.
  • Ensuring all purchase orders are closed off on a monthly basis.
  • Maintaining and improving relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Strict adherence to purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Drive innovation and business improvements in support of operational goals.

Requirements :

  • A tertiary qualification in Material Planning, Logistics or Supply chain management is a requirement.
  • 2-3 years of experience within a Materials Planning environment.
  • Previous experience in dealing with imported materials will be advantageous.
  • High level of SAP acumen regarding SAP Planning tools.
  • Advance level of competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • High level of problem-solving abilities.
  • Future-orientated and able to generate contingency plans.
  • Good verbal/ written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with site management and planners.
  • Ability to persevere with tasks and display resilience when confronted with adversity.
